I am not at work , because it is my day off.
I am wearing red. I am doing some housework, because it makes me unhappy to be in too much chaos.
I am going to the niles pie company. - they are having an action in - postcards, stamps, etc so we can write to congress people. Plus today's profits go to SAVE - our local domestic violence shelter. An NPC is own by a woman
My breakfast was a my usual cafe - which is women owned.
Happy hour - at my usual Wednesday gathering is at a restaurant owned by women.
No kitty cuddles today - all the cats are the nearby shelter are under quarantine.
And the one I loved at yesterday's shelter has already been adopted! But I suppose there'll always be one I love, each time I go.
I'm wearing red. About to go for a drive, which, yes, gas was spent for, but at least it's not at a store or online shopping. And there's sun, and the future forecast is iffy. So, mental health time = scenery.
Zuisa, as a veteran of the cat shelters, I can say that there's always at least one -- and usually several -- cats that you'll fall in love with. And you can't always predict which. When we volunteered, there were usually a couple of cats that all the volunteers loved. But beyond that -- just about every cat was one of somebody's favorites. Which made it nice, because every cat would get special attention.
I've been disappointed in the lack of red around my neighborhood, which was a sea of pink for the Women's March.
Still. Playdate has been achieved, plus two good walks and some paper sorting.
I'm also fasting, for the purpose of calming my system the heck down. I've been ooc with the awful eating lately. So, just healthy juices and tea for me today. I already feel better.
Have you seen the kitten therapy video? makes me smile ....
Neat, beth!
Started feeling like I am getting a sore throat, so having magic soup (Tom Yum).
One of my coworkers said conspiratorially "I know why you're wearing red...I saw the news" Made me laugh.
Have confirmed that the other woman in red was not coincidental. Solidarity! Only two of us, but that's something.
Several of the guys at work are wearing red. Unless it's a hat, you don't notice so much outside. Everyone is wearing their black coats, like you do in Chicago. I am wearing my Nevertheless tee and I remembered to bring food so I don't have to go out and spend anything.
The only money I should spend today is for diet Coke from the vending machine. Because, solidarity, sisters, but there are limits.
