We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

My sister and I are kind of snowed in, and it's lovely. I have a fire and a beer and red curry for dinner. Also we skied four free today because only lunatics and season pass holders would be out on this weather...

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oooh nice, Consuela.

Jesse, sounds like you got out just in time.

It's got spinach in it, so it's totally healthy.

Totally.

Amy, I'd loan you my cats but they're skittish around other people.

Suzi, I'm going to imaging you having a wild spring break.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Suzi, I'm going to imaging you having a wild spring break.

If only.

I just hate that I've become THAT student. Calculating the bare minimum needed to get the bare minimum grade to stay in the program. It isn't even that I have an issue with the course material. I just haven't been able to brane the last three weeks and have let things slide.

The good news is that I'm down to the introduction and conclusion, but I need to walk away from it for a bit. I need to be able to read through it with a clear mind to catch any gaps before I do the summarizations.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, that sounds nice, Consuela.

Suzi, you can take a break from caring sometimes and it's fine.

Jesse, sounds like you got out just in time.

Oh, not my most recent job, another one.

Coding and Sleeping

Ugh. Sorry about the depression, Amy.

Gud, I was just thinking about you! How's everything?

Because books.

The school schedule on top of your job sounds rough, though, Suzi. You deserve some time off!

aurelia, I'm pretty sure Franny would eat any cats that came over, so distance in this case is not a bad thing.

Compassionately intolerant

Rushing to thread-end and cross-posting from Bitches:

Greetings, friends, Buffistas and kind hearted lurkers.

This is me, groveling and having no shame.

Please, please, please, click here and enter a vote in the "Washington City Paper Best of" poll.

It takes 15 seconds and is risk-free. If family members are enjoying a quiet night in, please ask them to vote too. (Absolutely no spam will ensue. I swear, as do the City Paper folks)

It means a whole lot to me!

edited because I really was rushing.

Because books.

Thanks, Gud. Some days it hits hard.

Suzi, I worked during my master's at AU, but that was a differently scheduled program and, frankly, I phoned in a lot of my work.

For my master's at Loyola, I didn't even try to do both.

I support you in whatever you need to do. And I'm amazed that you brane at all, with everything you manage.

I was so hardcore about the coursework, it took me at least 6 months to stop feeling like I had to be studying, or feeling guilty for not doing so.

Now that my dementia patient has died, I'm in the same weird rut.

All that to say, I think you are doing it right. What you do with your learning will, no doubt, be very different from your classwork. Getting through it is the goal.
