call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

I kinda like that house! The geisha dishwasher would definitely have to go, but otherwise I could dig it. Browsing $1million+ houses on the Internet is one of my go-to time wasters when I am bored or stressed.

msbelle, I'm sorry your son is being difficult. I remember being really horrible to my parents when I was about 14-15 and I feel awful about it now. We have a great relationship and it's all behind us now, so hopefully the same will work out for you.

Chris and I are thinking about getting a cat. We've both been at sea and petless for years, and while a small apartment and the real possibility of having to move frequently are compelling reasons not to, we figure that what we've got to offer a cat is a much better life than it has at a shelter? I thought for years that I was allergic, but I spent a ~lot~ of time at cat cafes in South Korea, and turns out - I don't think I am!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Cats can be perfectly happy living in small apartments and can adjust to moving frequently. I hope you truly are not allergic, what a nice surprise!

This is exactly what has helped me through some of the worst times of raising the boys. I was a horror, frankly much worse than either of mine. And I still managed to be a successful human with a wonderful relationship with the parents after being such a terror. Didn't make the pain, worry, and all that any less, but knowing at my core that it does pass helps.

I stitched up all the pockets in my coats (been punching through them for months), glued my iPad cover, went to dust and couldn't find the damned spray stuff. I have no idea when it migrated from my bedroom. Making me nuts.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The tile bathroom looked fine to me, and I guess I could live with the marble one, but the red & black one didn't even register as a bathroom to me. I suppose my brain just said "sacrificial font" and skipped right over it.

The red & black bathroom is pretty weird but I don't quite dislike it. Is it just a room with a tiny little sink?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh thank goodness, I have finally gotten some stuff done around the house! Doing laundry, including changing the bed, put away all my half-worn clothes, AND hemmed a skirt.

(if I can in the meantime, BU Book 3 is up for preorder, and I'm racking my brains to do something new/fun for those who are able to preorder as it's a huge help... any suggestions welcome, though sometimes I can't see all the suggestions in-thread so hit my profile addy too.)
