I *did* go home, hooray! And now I have fed the critters (did I mention that Lucy who used to be half of Lucy and Ethel now seems more like a Miss Lucy Westenra Bunnicula? I don't know of she's aware of it, but I can see it) and myself, greeted the Sabbath, gathered up most of the stuff I need for tomorrow and have the rest either tumbling in the dryer or charging at an outlet, so bed is the next logical step. Sorry about the company flaking, Matt, glad the fish didn't disappoint!
Tried to catch the last weekend of the Black Panthers exhibit at the local museum, but I was not the only one with that idea. It was packed, and that exhibit was sold out. So my friend E & I had a nice wander through the hall of California Art & then went out for a late meal.
I had forgotten about Friday nights at the museum, where all the food trucks show up and there's a band and a bar. Great scene, lots of people of all sorts of persuasions, ages, and colors. Plus art!
Still, it's cold. And so much of the world is horrible. But my dog is sweet and the Mexican-chocolate-and-cherry brownies I made the other day are really tasty.
That's some pretty good good stuff!
Our local frozen custard stand opened on Wednesday and yesterday afternoon I had my first Ollies of 2017. It was gray and misty out but the chocolate custard in a waffle cone was delicious.
mac is more than 2/3 of the way through Driver's Ed. He has 2 make up classes and more drive time and that is it.
Of course he has also failed 2, maybe 3 classes for this trimester, so he will be going to summer school rather than having the possibility to work as much as possible and get $$ stocked up for gas purchases next year. Of course if he continues to fail, he won't be getting his full license August, so it may be a moot point.
ALTON BROWN JUST ANSWERED MY QUESTION OF FB LIVE. I MAY DIE!!!!
HE SAID MY QUESTION WAS BRILLIANT!!! OMFG!
Go Alton with the recognition of msbelle's brilliance!
I had a little snippet of a dream stay with me after I woke and I feel compelled to share it with Dana.
In my dream there was the lobby of a fancy hotel.
And a bellboy with cap and white gloves walked through the lobby carrying a large silver platter.
On the platter was a gigantic desk bell, of the kind you use at a hotel to ring the desk clerk.
But the bell had a slit in it and you could see malevolent eyes inside. Sort of like the eyes of the Tasmanian devil when he was still in the crate.
And I knew that if you rang the bell by pushing the button on top, a door would open and Eugene Tooms from X-Files would slither out and attack.
