I'm glad you had good stuff in your day, Omnis.
Today I saw my niece--raised by Christian conservative Republicans, married to a conservative Christian pastor, with a degree from a small, conservative Christian college--tossing Daily Kos articles up on Facebook blasting 45's appointments. My Grinchy heart grew 10 sizes this day.
And once again the angle of the sun has shifted enough that the view over the valley looks like the stereotypical painted backdrop of a Western movie, with the sunset lighting up the side of the mountains. It looks so fake, but I know it's real.
omnis, glad you had such a lovely day!
Great Danes are such wonderful dogs. That program sounds excellent.
The woman was going on hikes and everything despite her serious balance issues because Tolkien was by her side.
With a name like Tolkien, what better companion could a person have for long walks!
Omnis, I'm glad you had a nice spa day.
Connie, before I lived in Arizona, I used to think most of those old westerns had been filmed on a sound stage in a studio, with painted backdrops. Then I arrived in AZ, and realized that yes, in the desert, the mountains and sky do look painted on.
Scrappy, here's a little touristy thing on the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area. [link]
My cubicle neighbors continue to be philosophical: "Oh, man, Hot Pockets have nothing on a Toaster Struedel, and I love Hot Pockets."
I think today is a day for Indian food.
That sounds really good. But I just bought fresh watercress, so I need to pick up sandwich fixings and stick to that plan for the week, I guess.
Trying to make up for too much bad for me food on the camping trip. Today was oatmeal/blueberries/walnuts for breakfast, summer rolls from the grocery for lunch. Tonight T and I are going to get pedi/manis at my SIL's salon and we are bringing frozen berries, coconut milk, and nuts to make smoothies. We figure we can drink them without screwing up the nails and SIL can do our nails while sipping smoothies too.
