"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

As for life-long learning, one of my dearest friends said that we only stop learning when we die. Then again, she also coined the phrase "fucking growth opportunity!" for these things in life that you really really didn't want to learn or know how to do and that you're dragged through kicking and screaming.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Hand to God certainly filled that prescription, it was hilarious and outrageous (there's a puppet sex scene).

I know the original director of that show! He is a great guy- and I am working with his girlfriend on my current show (she is a costume designer). I think it is funny that such a sweet guy directing such a not-sweet show!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, Laura, that sounds really cool!

Our wings are not tired.

Wow, Laura, that sounds really cool!

It was really cool, and awful sweet that Tater chose to spend her birthday weekend with her mom and future MIL. Her mom kept introducing me all weekend as Tate's future MIL, which I loved.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

This woman on Say Yes to the Dress is disappointed that they don't have a gown completely covered in crystals.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

They decided to make a custom gown for her. It cost around $40-50k.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

On the train back home. Mr. S is being very active, and a bit fussy. Life with a toddler.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Pokes head in thread.

Waves hi to all.

Waiting on B. It's "spa" day at Chez Omnis. (She does the sponge. And and cocobutter (?) lotion rub. ) Closest thing I've ever had to spa in my life, so I call them spa days. B is this awesome woman filled with stories, talks gently, and just makes ya feel soft and clean, both skin and brain. Soooo nice.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Hi omnis! So great to see your pixels, as always. Spa days sound very nice indeed.
