So I know there's more to it than this, but I kind of love how Ruth Negga went from Agents of SHIELD to Preacher to Oscar nomination!
I watched her in a Irish series from 2004 where she was the romantic lead against Allen Leech. I think she's been a star in the making for a long time.
Side note: I saw her and her BF Dominic Cooper at the Kate Bush concert I went to and they were both wee. Perfectly proportioned, but wee. His IMDB page says he's 5'9 1/2" but I would have said he was 5'6"

I realized today that I haven't even tried to go on a date in almost 4 months. The holidays and being busy at work played a part, but I suspect that I've been subconsciously avoiding breaking my winning streak after the last one went so well.
Woot! Vacuuming is done! Laundry is done but not put away, and my dishes are washed. Forget spoons, I keep running out of forks. And I'm out of diet Coke. I should probably leave the house sometime today.
A question on English language dialect: Is anyone else familiar with the word Nelson being pronounced "Nelt-son"? My mother was born in 1929 and grew up in Washington state, then moved to Pennsylvania in the '50s. She could not pronounce Nelson without a T in the middle unless she spoke the word very slowly and deliberately, as two separate words. I was just listening to an ad on TV here in Utah, for a company called Nelson, and there was a faint T sound in the announcer's voice.
Has anyone else ever heard it? Is it a Western American thing?

Went to hippocampus's coffeeklatch this morning. It ended up being a joint coffeeklatch with Esther Friesner. Lots of fun.
I was going to freak out about getting a Vera Wang dress at the Goodwill, but then I checked the label, and it's her line for Kohl's. I still like it, though! And it was still $7.

I was! Which is insane. I found myself here when I lived in China, which is what I did before I worked on ships. But, six years! Dang.

Thank you! I think it does! We technically lived together on the ship (because if you don't live with the person you are dating you will literally never see them) but this is way different. We've only been in the apartment 8 days but I am just loving it.
