I want to respect omnis's wishes and make a donation or two as he suggests, but I also would like to provide him with whatever little luxuries he wouldn't think to give himself and that might give him a little extra pleasure. So... what questions would you want to ask a member of Congress about the ACA?
That's kinda tough considering the current level of power Dems have, you know, none. There's lots of questions I have if tweaking the existing law was on the table. Maybe what are the implications of ACA repeal for people with employer-provided healthcare or people with Medicare?
I'd probably ask if any solid replacement plans for the ACA have been suggested, and if so, by whom.

I don't think it can be done. You can't turn the clock back, and I think that's what rural America wants.
Finally realizing they could lose their health coverage and their SS/Medicare has shook a lot of them, though. We could win most of them by promising to improve healthcare and benefits, and promising to bring new-industry jobs like solar to largely rural states like WV. WV wants jobs. They just can't imagine any decent-paying jobs that aren't what they've always done before. We need to be helping them see how much better off they could be with different jobs and better support. And then

because if we break them they'll be even more bitter than they are now.
