Art Crawl!!!

Connie: check. Probably Hy-Vee would be my best bet. (I'm planning on going there on Weds. for their bulk food deals.)

Our wings are not tired.

Heartbroken over the news, Omnis. Also grateful for the time we spent together during a visit to that left coast. Omnis, I am grateful that you have shared your hard news with us so that people have the opportunity to tell you how much you have touched their lives. I have seen the posts on FB which clearly show how many people care about you and are sending love and prayers.

None of ever know in advance how we are going to handle this type of diagnosis, but such a positive and courageous attitude is what we can hope for. One of my dearest and closest friends was given a dire prognosis a while ago. When he gave me the news his attitude was inspiring. He said it was the very best he could have hoped for because there was time for him to say goodbye to friends, for his family from distances to return to see him, to have the opportunity to know in advance. He was the most positive person I ever knew, and he spent his life determined to play the ball where it lies. (who understands golfers!)

For now I am going to be grateful that the world has Omnis, and pray that however much more time we have you will be time spent surrounded with love.

Because books.

Oh, Omnis. I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope there are as many good days as possible, and lots of laughing and visiting with friends.

I'd love to contribute to anything we want to do for him.

brillig

In completely frivolous things, I'm watching The Queen at 90, with the family watching home movies. William and Harry are watching footage from Harry's christening, and William is running back and forth. William says, "Oh, I look just like George! (his son)" Harry says, "This could be Christmas last year." And them being impressed by how much jewelry there was at the coronation and commenting on how beautiful their grandmother was.

It's very cute. Charles has a great laugh.

edit: Harry just called his grand-dad a stud, and George looks just like Charles at the same age. And William and Harry are both squealing over puppies.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

This sucks a hell of a lot.

I'd love to contribute to anything we want to do for him.

Same.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

Omnis, you have taught me so much about how to be a good and decent human being, and how to preserve the gentle parts of me in a world that seems to want men to be ... something other than what I am.

Thank you for your fine example. May your days and nights be filled with love and joy. You have made a difference here, and I am quite sure that I'm not the only one who thinks so.

We love you, so much.

Omnis, I 'm so sorry to hear your news. I'm glad that you're home and that's improved your mood and how you feel. I've always said that hospitals are terrible places to be sick. I am in awe of your grace and I am sending you my love and ~ma.

Because it needed to be in a separate post, it's finally stopped snowing here and we've gotten just shy of two feet. Of course, it's all drifted onto my steps and walkway. And there's more forecast for Thursday!

Also, Oz just stepped down to one dose of steroid on Sunday, and he's coughing up a storm again. I'm afraid he might be congested too. I think it's time to go back to the vet.

Off to do some shovellng.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

6:45 AM meeting this morning, and possibly I stayed up too late reading fanfic. I am not even awake enough to hate-watch HGTV.
