In other news, I just can't today. At all.

Our wings are not tired.

Yeah, I know a number of my family and friends consider me one of "those People" in the category of libtard or intellectual (as an offensive term). They pity my foolish ignorance of the real world. I am building my wall and I don't even care anymore. I just don't want to engage with them. The business ones I am pretty good at the divert tactic. I never notice those red caps or bumper stickers.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

At the escape room I discovered I'm really much better at going off and doing my thing on my own. I'll play along, but the group think is not really my thing.

We were in three teams and there were three rooms in the place; we each had a turn in each room. The first two rounds were only 45 minutes and no one got out, although some came close. The third round, they gave us the full hour (which is what they usually do) and we all got out. MY team was the first one out. (And, fyi, the safe was the LAST step in getting out.)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

ETA - but using absinthe to rinse the glass and then toss is just WRONG.

That's why you leave it in the glass!

brillig

I "cheated" on a couple of the elements of our escape room, because I used the wear marks on the puzzles to figure out which were the likely parts that would fit together instead of working out the logic. I didn't even think about it, I just saw how the physical elements fitted together. It was a good escape room, lots of different types of puzzles.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That seems like a perfectly valid strategy to me, Connie.

the Pepe brigade is not taking it well.

If the Pepe brigade started complaining about lack of oxygen being detrimental to health, I'd probably do serious research into how to become anaerobic. I work on the theory that just about anything they're against is either 100% good or at least has a serious upside.

Art Crawl!!!

Escape room thing sounds fun.

Would be willing to contribute as much as I can for a buffista commune/island/mansion/tiny house compound.

Also -this - not a good thing but so real.
