OMG, we had that happen here one time -- the references page got detached from the citations and alphabetized and it was a g.d. disaster.

I was mildly surprised to discover the world didn't end while I was sleeping.
It will be interesting to see what cheering for the Cubs feels like next year without the overarching sense of dread of the inevitable screw-up that adds another year to the drought that I've had all my life.
That sounds incredibly frustrating, Zen.
If Cleveland had won the World Series, after winning Basketball and Hockey (AHL) championships this year, that would mean the Browns would have to win the Superbowl, which SURELY mean the world was ending.
I just watched the highlights, and holy shit, what a game. I'm kind of glad I didn't have to live through it as a fan. The Saints' NFC championship game was stressful enough for a long time.
The author re-submitted the reference list, totally different from the first, and she accepted the new list without updating the cites and then alphabetized it. Might as well have thrown them at a wall. I ended up not even knowing which list was the right one to follow.
she rearranged a list of references without changing the corresponding citations. So now the references are all mixed up. She claims she didn't know they were linked.
I physically recoiled when I read this. What. The. Shit, assistant???
Seriously! How do you get through college without doing a paper with references in it? This is the kind of thing that blindsides me, I wouldn't have even thought to tell her not to do that, because who would do that?? She does learn from her mistakes, though, at least.

AAAAAAAAAAA
Welp, rejected for the most recent job I applied/phone screened for, damn it.
I'm so sorry, Plei. If it's the company I think it is (from your FB posts), I made it through 3 phone screens and they flew me to Seattle for a brutal all-day interview and then did not hire me even though I was perfect for the job. They called me again for the same damned position months later and blew me off after the first phone screen. Screw them. Plus I hear the work/life balance there is awful. So here's to finding something great!
I fell asleep watching the game. Very happy to see all the Cubs fans celebrating today.
I had a horrible dream about being laid off. There is supposed to be a large round of layoffs today/tomorrow and I hadn't realized how on pins and needles I am about this.
