I do LOVE that someone on a Ted Cruz post said something "why don't you just take them into your home then? Didn't think so." And I got to respond that I, in fact, did have an immigrant in my home and had the sole financial responsibility for them for over a decade.

They are filming upstairs! Day shooting today. It's actually pretty cool. When I went up to peek they were shooting Jena Malone, and they did a really good job of making her look like a librarian, actually.
I finally figured out how to make the coffee machine give me hot water for tea. I feel unreasonably proud of myself.
There's nothing wrong with feeling proud about making an appliance your bitch.

I felt pretty proud of installing a car stereo with backup camera in my car even though it's just a little wiring, drilling, and concealing of cables.

So, Jena Malone does make a convincing librarian. Also she is said to be super nice and easy to work with. And she's walking around with her 9 month old son in a baby bjorn.
I felt unreasonably smug for getting my new streaming Blu-Ray player to work. I can now watch old episodes of The Librarians and Elementary on my TV instead of my computer.
