I promised a friend I would go hang out and work from her house, tomorrow, as she's feeling guilty she hasn't spent any time with her pets lately--her mom is in the hospital right now. She also requested some vegetables or otherwise healthy food, since she's been eating lots of chinese food. She's allergic to corn. Any suggestions?

Make a salad to bring over. Chop up all the veggies in your fridge & toss with some cooked grain like farro or brown rice or whatever. Toss with a nice dressing, add avocado or nuts or goat or feta cheese. NOM. Healthy & tasty with complex carbs & some protein.
I set up the bread machine to make some white bread with roasted garlic in it. Just got home, and I cannot wait to see how it came out. Except I am on the futon and it's cozy here. But the whole house smells of bread, so I think I have to go taste it.

I did work on a cruise ship! I just finished my last contract last week! I'm still with the company, but my boyfriend and I got ourselves some land-based jobs.

I haven't gotten more than 6 hours of sleep since before the inauguration, and that was just one night. I cried 3 times at work today over dumb work frustrations I'd normally shake off. Husband, who is a saint, whisked me off for Indian food when I almost broke down a 4th time in the car. I'm not totally sure how he's put up with me the last few weeks.

I found a PBS station that's doing Downton Abbey in order on Tuesday nights, and it's just the end of S3. I have decided to watch nothing else tonight, and to leave the internet (aside from here) alone. It's helping.
