That's not right. right?

This is an ignorant and fundamentalist twist. Shame on you, Drew. You should be better equipped to disagree, by now.
I'm sorry that you feel this way Cindy.
Yeah, I both can't stop reading Facebook and seeing the constant new horrible things, but also it's making me feel awful and anxious and horrible beyond even those things happening, so for the very first time I'm actually thinking of stepping back from FB. Because I can get the facts from reputable media without the constant seeing right people post about the same thing and the latest "call your people!" And all that jazz. And feeling guilty when I see and enjoy a fashion post. But it all feels so urgent.
I attracted a troll on Twitter. Achievement unlocked!
I am not engaging.
Oh, my coworker is going to be super irritating today.
In the past 24 hours, I've seen 2 people who I otherwise thought were fairly rational people decry "mainstream news," as in, it's untrustworthy. My serious question is: what alternative sources are we supposed to be consuming instead of CNN, and how do we know those sources are any more trustworthy?
I don't feel like I'm being duped by the Associated Press, is what I'm saying.
Big News is in the pocket of Big Pharma, don't you know? Only the little person who's being persecuted has the truth. Just ask Fox News.
Seems like there are a lot of people who believe only Fox News (which I don't think of as mainstream media, like I think of Huffington Post) is trustworthy on the conservative side. Regardless of side, I think decrying the mainstream media is largely expressing a desire for a news source that confirms preexisting assumptions.
I don't think the mainstream media is super trustworthy, but I think the bias is towards sensationalism rather than partisanship.

What's weird is that one of the people who's decrying mainstream media is very liberal. Very confusing.

Why is that? It's not something I've looked into at all, so I have no real knowledge base here.

I agree on that, for sure.
