Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Or "Beloved Lune"? Or in my case that would be "Loon."

And speaking of which, for some unbeknownst reason, I really really want a demilune. I've wanted one for years. I don't even have a specific place for one, but I'd *make* a place if I found one I liked.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I like to look at those, Beverly, there's something graceful about them.

They've always appealed to me. My ideal would be like that one, between three and four feet wide, four legs with a drawer between the two front, no shelf or stretchers, and a double top like that one, hinged to open flat into a circular table, but that would also stop vertically against the wall, with a design in marketry or painted.

I may have given entirely too much thought to this.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Why do any online forms require a salutation anymore? It just seems ridiculous and an unnecessary point of contention.

I was hit with either food poisoning or a flu on Thursday night. I had to ask a friend who lives nearby to bring me some applesauce so I could start eating again with something gentle. I've done okay with applesauce, crackers, and Farina so far but now I have a headache that is probably caffeine withdrawal. I don't know if I'm quite ready for coffee.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Boo, food poisoning and/or flu!

Hope your tum settles down today, aurelia.

But then I realized I tell them all to you people! So thank you.

Thank you for trusting us with your freakouts.

Tea and cola both have caffeine, aurelia. My mom used to feed me flat coke for nausea, and it helped. That may have been the placebo effect, but I believed in coke or pepsi for upset stomachs for a long time.

I've been off any kind of soda for so long now that it's all too syrupy for me. I might try some tea though.

My mom used to give us sprite with orange juice for an upset tummy, I think mostly to see if burping would help. There was probably some placebo effect in that, too.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Meara, maybe you should start a running group for non-morning people. Surely you're not the only person noping at an 8 am run time.

Sorry about the food poisoning, aurelia.

Coding and Sleeping

I've done dishes, done laundry, gone to the grocery store, gone to the auto parts store, changed the oil in the car, recycled the used oil, fixed the lock on the back door, been criticized a lot, and armored the house. It's been a busy day and I'm feeling tired and depressed.
