Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Also the US Chief of Border Patrol. He was in the same situation where he "resigned" in a way that is code for "was forced out."

All because of pressure from the border patrol agents' union. They hated him because he didn't come from within. JFC, he was career FBI, not the CEO of Amnesty International. This is the same union that came out FULLY in Trump's corner very early. He's going to do anything they want.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I sometimes think Mr. S(who is 18 months old) has more maturity and is better behaved than Trump.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Given his many bankruptcies, I expect we'll be singing God Save the Queen within six months.

So he's selling us out to Russia and Britain at the same time?

Coding and Sleeping

Something I hear from Dem officials and President Obama as well is encouraging people to run for office if they want to change things. How the hell does an ordinary person run for office? How many people can just drop their job to do that? It's not a bad thing to say, and maybe it can encourage some people who are in a position to do that, but it just seems so impractical for most people.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, all the people who are losing their jobs can run for office.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Also a lot of local offices are very part time - like, committee meetings every few weeks, and even campaigning is fairly shoestring. If you start there, you're in a better place to figure out if you can or want to go further.
