"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

We've got our signs ready, and been listening to the NYTimes feed of the DC March all morning.

SF's march is up last, but I promise we'll carry it into the night.

Thrive to spite them

sj , you'll have to tell her about this.

BUT you get to tell her about the 600 rallies the day after the inauguration. You'll tell that on Saturday, Jan 21, 2017 on EVERY Continent people stood up and made their voices heard. You'll tell her about Hil and JZ and David and msbelle and every other Buffista and Buffista spouse or kids that marched.

You'll show her pictures and videos. You'll explain about the Disablity March

I hope you will tell.. although it was hard and scary that we did not lose hope. That people tried to derail the American Experience and it didn't happen.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

MSNBC is all over covering the March in DC and reports of marches everywhere. It's lifting my glum cynical mood a lot.

Twitter is on fire over the unexpected large turnout.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Madonna's droppin' the f-bombs on C-SPAN. Their coverage has been pretty good.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

The Nashville march was rockin'. I don't know the number but it sure felt like a good turnout. Multiple thousands. We didn't have a sign, but Rose was all about the chanting. And on the way back we heard about the huge turnout in DC. So I'm feeling proud and energized about keeping up a strong resistance.

500,000 on the Mall.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

The New York Times article with the marches from around the world had me weeping. But happy weeping, unlike yesterday. I finally feel hopeful. Because just look at us.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

my favorite might be the sign that Glamcookie's son is carrying

Also my favorite! My kid got tired of carrying their signs after about 20 minutes, so we gave them to a group of women who didn't have any. They were so happy to have signs!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

the march I went to, in a smaller city (123,000) had maybe 1000 people. Good diversity and good amount of men. There was a 5 person counter protest which seemed to be anti-gay, not necessarily pro-Trump. The counter protest was odd and pathetic.

Home now.
