I've spent most of the day trying to sleep off a migraine. I really can't let this be another 3+ day event like I've been having. I've got a march to attend, damnit!
I got my posters printed for the march tomorrow (lady at FedEx seemed less than impressed).
My FedEx folks were very positive. The guy who took the order and I had a nice chat about the poster designs and the guy who handled the pickup and payment said I was at least the third person this week to have similar items printed.
Yes, I very quickly figured out how to get Yahoo to stop sending me "breaking news" notifications.
my signs? different poster on each side, right? double the message.
gave myself the gentlest of days. No news. Cagney playdate. Unfettered eating. Long nap. So nice.
A friend who works for WPost came by to chat and said something really interesting.
A reporter told her that the vast majority of the crowd was school groups. Tweens and teens, mostly.
Sure enough, as we were having tea by my front window, two different groups came by...perhaps 30 kids, with 2 adults toddling off to the bus parking lot.
Most of the other folks on the street were obviously demonstrators.
I can totally see school groups getting free bus rides to fill the crowd.
I'm gonna say giving out a friend's contact info, much less offering her as a ride, to someone who you don't know well enough to get their name right is frowned upon. By me, anyway, I frown.
Excellent, Sheryl!
Not so excellent, aurelia. Begone, migraine!
I bought the stuff I needed to make soup but now I think I'll have popcorn for dinner and save the soup making for Sunday.
Besides the bartender, I'm the only person in this bar who isn't on a tinder date.
Well, put that in your Yelp review.
I don't want to go to work tomorrow.

I did a bit of work on your Wordpress site. Hopefully that will help to get you going. I can help a bit more.
So me and childhood friend are hitting it off wonderfully, as if it hasn't been 25 years and it wasn't her older sister I was best friends with! I think I'm keeping her. One of the things she keeps coming back to is that she had to come because of her sons; she wants them to see this is not acceptable and set an example for them, to fight for women and equality and justice even when it is inconvenient (though she's pretty stoked about sleeping in Sunday and Monday. She's a sahm who believes in a good breakfast and has kids my nephews' age...she gets up early and does epic breakfasts. Here, it's gonna be sleep ins and Starbucks after tomorrow.)
Her flight from ABQ was pretty much all women going to the march and one flummoxed dude. The SW crew was all in, down to pink lighting (yeah, I know) and free drinks. And she made a lot of new friends on the flight.
