Dinner with baffling friend went okay. Talked about politics, horses, cats, our different yet oddly parallel childhoods. She apologized for drinking too much last time, then drank too much again. I think I figured out why her behavior is baffling. I left politely when she started yelling at the ceiling. Maybe she stopped drinking and went to bed.
