We're currently enduring an in-home demonstration for a water purification system because we get an Amazon gift card. It's hilarious watching the sales guy deal with my husband, who does not respond to things like your typical consumer. Any time the guy starts something like "Every person I've shown this to has been amazed," my husband is not amazed. And not maliciously. He's just different.
The good news is that this forced us to really clean up the kitchen, and for the first time since we moved in, the only things on the counter are things that belong there. I should send you a picture, msbelle. You'd be amazed.
OH MY GOD, dude, stop talking. I want lunch!
I suppose I should get out of bed.
My parents had some kind of demonstration like that a while back and when they got to the sampling the purified water part my mom was all "doesn't taste right, needs more impurities". The salesman was flummoxed.
Sales guy got a lot less gregarious once he figured out we were not going to buy his $8,000 water purification system. Husband didn't tell me the price until the guy was gone, so I couldn't laugh in his face directly.
We had an in-home knife demonstration once--she was warned ahead of time that she probably wouldn't get sales, but she was grateful for the practice--and there was a point where she asked for household knives so she could prove how much sharper her knives were than ours. Imagine the typical scene in a movie where the hero has to disarm, and the weapons just keep coming. I told Hubby to behave himself when he went for the swords.
Ours were much sharper.
You can buy a heck of a lot of Britta filters for $8,000.
I walked to the farmers market, made coffee ice cream and honey caramel sauce to drizzle on it, set up my files for my 2017 financial records, and walked the cat. I'm gonna spend the rest of the day on the sofa, under the cat, reading a book.
Slow morning but I exercised twice since the older dog still doesn't get leashed walks without freaking the fuck out. She's just so super excited. We do a lot of stop and turn arounds.
I went with my mother to Home Depot, then to my father, then to Burger King for lunch! Speaking of msbelle.
My New Year's Resolution was to start tagging posts on Good Stuff, and I've gotten 10-20 new followers a day since. So I guess SEO is a real thing?
