brillig

I need to stop shuttling between multiple weather sites. One page has less than an inch of snow on Wednesday. Another site has 5-8 inches of snow for a spot five miles away on Wednesday. Utah has freaky weather, but a storm putting down half a foot of snow is not going to be impressed by town boundaries.

That does sound good, sj. Mmm, polenta. The recipe I have calls for steel-cut oats and rolled oats and oat bran, and I'm going to have to try following the recipe exactly at least once to find out how all that works together before I experiment...

Y'all, my co-worker gave me the best compliment on my outfit. I came in wearing my purple rainjacket and purple rainshoes and carrying my purple purse, and put all that away to put on houndstooth pumps that match my houndstooth skirt and reveal my blue sweater and blue tights that pretty much match the blue streak in my hair. He said I look like a well-designed comic character. At last I know how to describe my personal style!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

That's an awesome compliment, -t.

Right?

Shoot, the Kaiser app that reminds me when to take my medicine has discontinued interval scheduling. I guess that was too useful and practical. Sigh.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That is a perfect compliment!

I had my morning of interviews, which went well, I think? Then had a voicemail from my mattress delivery saying they would be here well before their scheduled window and possibly before me! However, I am now home and changed and stripped the bed and they are not here yet, so that's good. (The scheduled window opens in 10 minutes.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And they were here and gone by just about 2:15. And didn't seem to want a tip? So I didn't give them one. Made the new bed with old sheets that barely fit, because the mattress is so tall. Good thing I have some other new sheets if these really don't work.

Missions accomplished!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I have a theoretical audition tonight, except I still am not over this fricking cold, and I can't get in touch with the person who's supposed to schedule things, but I have no info on where to go, so it's not like I can go tonight anyway.
