I kinda wish there was a market for ameture baked goods.
That's what my office is for...
I have made soup and ordered memorial cards for Dad. And I made pastry for pie crusts, which I will freeze until next Friday. There will be pie for Dad, oh yes.
Ezra Pound's Ancient Music:
Winter is icummen in,
Lhude sing Goddamm.
Raineth drop and staineth slop,
And how the wind doth ramm!
Sing: Goddamm.
Skiddeth bus and sloppeth us,
An ague hath my ham.
Freezeth river, turneth liver,
Damn you, sing: Goddamm.
Goddamm, Goddamm, 'tis why I am, Goddamm,
So 'gainst the winter's balm.
Sing goddamm, damm, sing goddamn.
Sing goddamm, sing goddamm, DAMM.

I had cocoa. Not the same, but something.

Yeah. Too bad I'm not even in until Tuesday.
WS, that's amazing!
Old Ezra Pound knew a thing or three about words and weather, didn't he?

I work from home, so...yeah...danger. I mean, I COULD send stuff to Kelly and C's work. Maybe even CJ's.
For now though, I have plotted cooking, which is pretty exciting. I have wanted to have a No-Rouz (Persian New Year in March) party at my home for the last few years, but timing has SUCKED (travel, moving, no money, family drama...). But this year we are going to make it happen. We blocked out the party date on the calendar and the two days prior to prepare the food. Anyone who wants to come out to Colorado is welcome, but I can't offer a couch as C's daughter will be here for Spring break and she has dibs.
Oh oh, and come April/May, I'll have an actual guest room (slash home office). And I can have actual guests!!!
I need to set out mousetraps. I'm dreading it. Putting it off until late, so I don't sit here waiting for the snaps.
I'm watching a Tom Baker Dr. Who episode (Terror of the Zygons! Nessie! Doctor in a Tam o'Shanter!) and the very first notes of that era's theme put me right back in that college-era basement apartment where I first met the Doctor. I guess it's very appropriate to get time whiplash while watching the Doctor.
I kinda wish there was a market for ameture baked goods. I'll bake something, you cover the cost of the goods plus a bit extra, and you get to take the nommy stuff away.
That would make a good Task Rabbit thing, I'm thinking.
