Few things feel as good as when an illness begins to retreat. "Hey, breathing without effort! Long time no see, how ya been!"

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yay, Connie! I love your little stories of your life.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

It's chilly here -- only 40 degrees. But because my house has very little insulation it's pretty chilly inside, too.

Today is the first regular day off (which I get from my compressed work schedule) where I don't have to think about when to go visit Dad. Sigh.

Instead I have a metric ton of paperwork to deal with. Plus bills for my own stuff. Argh.

At least I have two lovely bunches of flowers.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

In other news, here's a college course I could enjoy. If it were closer.

I hope the final is a drinking contest.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm nervous about a lot of things.

All of the above, plus the idea of Trump and his kind being normalized. This is unacceptable.

78 here, but they say it feels like 80. I have my windows open because it was cooler earlier.

Today is the first regular day off (which I get from my compressed work schedule) where I don't have to think about when to go visit Dad. Sigh.

Wishes of comfort during this transition. I don't know when or if we ever stop automatically thinking "I need to ask" or "I need to tell" and then remember again.

Loving the stories of good co-workers and communities. And swimming lessons! I love to swim and swim often for long stretches of time, but I look absurd because I avoid getting water in my ears or nose. I have 2 recovering ears because I went underwater when I was on vacation. And wearing nose plugs and ear plugs makes me feel even more absurd. So I mostly swim at home.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Three degrees. And I still had to drag the dog inside after 30 minutes at the park.

Time to ask for home decor advice. I'm thinking of putting wallpaper/wall decals on the wall behind the head of my bed. Here's the room: [link]

Do you guys prefer

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I like #3 best, but those would all scare me into thinking the wall wasn't smooth! Which I realize is the point.

Matt, I like the brick so much I might buy it, but for your room I think I like the wood better. Or even this: link.
