Happy birthday to shrift!
Well, I sent Trump a tweet praising him on his statement about Congress. I figure since appealing to his better nature is obviously useless, it's best to use positive reinforcement and attention to try and get him to do the right thing. Like patting a toddler on the head and complimenting them when they use good manners.
That is pretty much the best way to deal with someone who is NPD.
I just had a non-work-related coffee with someone, but I think I'm going to leave anyway.
I really have to get this damn report done so I can be ready for my conference call tomorrow. Perhaps music would help.
I am slightly amazed that the House backed down on the ethics office.
I am quite surprised, but it makes me suspicious. What are they really planning? Though Steph makes a good case for them testing the boundaries and Paul Ryan failing.
Today I went out for a delicious lunch with a friend, and I'm making good progress on the vacation backlog at work. I'll be working late tonight, but I don't really mind it.
Timelies all!
Happy Birthday shrift!
Had my last physical therapy session today! Yay!
A combo of boundary testing and distracting from the fact that they're starting their attacks on the ACA today as well?
In other news, did I tell you people I'm a finalist for a new job? And I had always heard the benefits there were good, but man, they are really good. Since I'm over 40, they will put 10% of my salary into the retirement plan. Not a match, just in there, with vesting in 3 years. (Under 40, you get 5%.)
Dang, that's nice! My company does 3% (which I don't consider chopped liver—hey, free money!).
I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but still.
