Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, shrift!

I'm pretty excited that someone else is taking responsibility for a thing I thought I had fucked up over vacation. It was at least a joint effort, but I am just as glad to have it on her! (I was very gracious.)

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

First one to close for the month!! Whoot!

Now to set up folders and resorts for 2017. So much excitement.

Actually I am cranking out stuff at a good clip. Makes me think I have forgotten something.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I am slightly amazed that the House backed down on the ethics office.

I still feel like shit, I have a dentist appointment this afternoon, but there's all kinds of drama with the insurance company and a new dentist, and my work is predictably crazy, and I really would just rather be lying down.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I am slightly amazed that the House backed down on the ethics office.

Apparently they got a metric crapload of phone calls from constituents, for one thing.

But I also wonder if they ever really thought it would fly. It felt a lot more like the House GOP members were testing to see who was really in charge of the House, and, as it turns out, it ain't Paul Ryan. I'd have a lot of schadenfreude about that (because I loathe Paul Ryan), except for the fact that it really means they're lining up behind Trump. Ugh.

I have so fucking much work (today is the 3rd and I already have 41 hours on my January invoice, which is INSANE), and I'm trying to get over this food poisoning, but you can't really rush these things, and I just need a nap. (Also, given how little I've eaten over the past 3 days, I don't understand how people on extremely restrictive diets aren't hangry and homicidal all the time.)

Canceled my dentist appointment. At least that's something.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Well, I sent Trump a tweet praising him on his statement about Congress. I figure since appealing to his better nature is obviously useless, it's best to use positive reinforcement and attention to try and get him to do the right thing. Like patting a toddler on the head and complimenting them when they use good manners.

Ann, that's a ferret.
