Yeah, it's the new year now and I don't feel happy. I feel anxious.
I'm not making this up (I can take a picture of the door tag and post it): we woke up to our water turned off until at least 2 p.m. for some kind of emergency maintenance. Tim said "At least it isn't a burst pipe," and then his eyes got big and he said "Oh, shit, I shouldn't have said that."
I see you, 2017. Back off.
t edit
Thank god I always set up the coffee the night before. And that we have several random bottles of water of varying sizes in the fridge. And that we have nowhere we need to be, so our general unwashedness is NBD.
How does it fail, askye? Are there any details?
I'm trying it again so when I get a message I'll let you know. Right now it's just in the queue.
Sore throat, stuffy head, hot tea. It's cold season. Thanks, sneezy co-workers.
and it worked! okay now to delete my LJ
Yup, just migrated everything from LJ to DW and then deleted my LJ.
And added a note to my bullet journal to go through and curate all the stuff that's on my DW now and either delete for reals or backup to my home mini-cloud, or both.
Happy New Year!
I am in deep nerd mode as I started cataloguing my ornaments last night. Sigh. It's stopped raining, so I think it's time to go for a walk.
How I'm progressing with the need list
- sweep living room & kitchen
- vacuum living room area rug
- mail 4-5 things make that 7! things mailed
- pick up mail for work (so it doesn't have to be done tomorrow)
- measure window pane
- get window screen out (I think it is caulked in)
- go buy window pane & anything else needed for repair
- replace window pane & make child help
- clean bathroom - half done
- have child do laundry, pack bag, and do anything else needed for going to school tomorrow
- either take things to thrift store or list things on ebay
- pack lunch for tomorrow
- lay out clothes for tomorrow
- finish self-eval that was due yesterday
- do at least one load of laundry
- buy groceries
So we are at the point where I have woken up the child, given him 30 min to get himself up and ready to work on this window.
extra bonus stuff
- made coffee, cooked breakfast, went to bookstore, treated self to bagel store, remembered to take plastic bag recycling to grocery!
One of my nearby grocery stores has Indian sauces in jars. I have discovered that chicken korma is good for congested sinuses. I've got whole wheat noodles instead of rice because I can only attempt one new cooking technique at a time, and defrosted raw chicken was the one I was working on today. I'm actually using my freezer for more than frozen pizza and ice cream.
