Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Sitting in my kitchen, waiting for the trick-or-treaters to arrive.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Our four little neighbors came by, and that may be it for trick-or-treaters for us. Did I tell you people I found out what they do? There are two streets to either side of us where everyone goes. And they don't go anywhere else!

Watching Buffy, "Halloween."

OMG, my friend made an amazing BB-8 for her toddler, and she's Rey, and it is awesome.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My across-the-aisle coworker came as Luke-on-Degobah (which he was kind of bummed was not very recognizable by itself) with his 3-month-old as Yoda on his back, his wife as R2D2 and their daughter as Leia. Pretty cute!

Oh, I also wanted to tell you specifically, Jesse: my boss dressed as Wonder Woman and we had to google up video clips for her of Linda Carter doing the spin, she had never seen it. She didn't know the bracelets deflect bullets!

Lots of little bees this year, unsurprisingly. Was worried I was gonna be stuck with a ton of candy, but starting at about 6:45, it was on. Probably had about 70 kids so far.

not your mom's socks.

I'm upstairs in my Emily Dickinson costume* with a basket to lower down should anyone brave the bowl of candy at the steps. But no. Alas.

(*aka lady writer who walked too much this weekend & through airports, now with back spasms and dislocating parts)

This stinks. DH should send me cute photos of my kid. Someone tell him to do that. Grump.
