Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

You ARE the nicest!

The boy child, yes, 20-year old child, is registered for the Spring semester, his books are ordered, and he just needs to figure out how to pay his tuition (his financial aid is in a knot at the moment). But this is farther than he got last semester. I had to prod him, not too hard but without prodding it wouldn't have gotten done.

Was talking with one of my PMs about our kids - we had our second children about the same time and even bumped into eachother at Children's Hospital when each were inpatients (CJ, after his spinal surgery and her son with a crazy high temp). She has the same issue with her kids - one is highly motivated and organized, the other needs prodding to get anything accomplished.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I did homemade gifts for my staff - skin goop. And then the ladies at the group home wanted to invite my supervisor, and my supervisor's supervisor, and the nurse, and the new staff member's new baby and .... I felt weird not having someone for everyone who came to the party. It was fuckin' 13 below, and they came out to our party, they deserve a prize. I figured, it's a homemade gift, that's not too over-the-top.

Sending out the vibes for Carrie Fisher, because I do not choose to contemplate a world without her in it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I ran out of parchment paper, which I need to make my cake. Do I go to the store now or in the morning? Uggghhhhh.

not your mom's socks.

Big problems: the obvious ones, Carrie Fisher

Smaller problems: - arghhhh the house sale is becoming problem

- publishing is really hard to deal with today on a very personal level and I'm hoping I made the right decision about something

-I've been working so much I've completely screwed up the holiday

- and all the words that come out of my face today seem to be wrong

Sparky I like your strategy though.

Our wings are not tired.

{{hippocampus}} Sorry the day has been for crap. May tomorrow's problems be boring routine ones.

Today was a day filled with delight. St. Lucia was lush and beautiful. The aromas in the botanical gardens soothed my soul and my body was immersed in mineral baths. Grateful that ND & Pix talked us into going on this cruise. My family and customers will recover from my absence. The only downside is the quantity of food being consumed. I won't be able to get near a scale for 2 weeks after I get home and I will have to avoid my doctor completely!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Carrie Fisher's brother is saying she's in stable condition.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Husband and father are off doing one thing, mother is doing something else, so it's just me and the dog for a couple of hours. Watch the Sense8 Christmas special? Poke around for fic? Try to write a yuletide treat?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I want to worry about Carrie Fisher -- she's not even 65 yet! -- but Dad's got pneumonia and is basically non-verbal. Not eating, barely drinking anything. Not great. Smiles a little bit, if you talk to him and he's awake.

So, that's a thing. Damnit. Fuck this year.
