Dear Contracts Manager
Yes, I called you out, privately, on your rude tone in all of our exchanges this week. NO apology or even acknowledgement that you could have communicated better while griping about how overloaded you are does not make me sympathetic. If you would just DO your job without fussing, this whole mess would have been over last week. But as it is, you are doing it piecemeal and then getting your nose out of joint when I ask you to do the following steps.
No love,
Me
Oh good, my plane got here. In about 3 hrs, I'll be in Birmingham. Hopefully with my luggage.
JFC someone just asked if they could get me feedback on something next week. We're closed next week! It's vacation! It's a three-page document! Just fucking do it now!!!
Too bad the person I want to say this to is some important contact of our board chair, so no.
Scrappy that really sucks.
I went to the library and got Die Hard. Christmas Eve and Christmas DVD line up is now: Die Hard, RED, Oklahoma, High Society and Looney Tunes.
There's going to be a lot of cursing before this year is over, I can tell.
Even more than in the past few weeks?
We have a new person who's above me - and possibly above my boss - in the office hierarchy. She's about to kill me - complicated projects dumped on me at the last minute, refuses to acknowledge when I tell her that a schedule won't work. Most recently, she's been submitting articles to be included in our weekly e-newsletter (it's a compilation of news articles - which we try to make as recent as possible - that I'm responsible for). I've told everyone repeatedly that the company that sends it out for us closed down last Friday and won't reopen until January 3; the intervening issues have been prepared and queued up to go out on schedule. But nope - she keeps coming up with "news" that will be ... olds? ... by the time the next issue comes out.
To make life complete, I'm losing a vacation day because I have to come in to send out a mass email next Friday. It's too long to schedule in advance (at least, not reliably) and she's going to want to make changes up until the last minute. grrrr ....
In better news, I saw a nice doctor Tuesday. Since August, I've lost 18 pounds (my pants are slipping off my hips!) and my A1C is 6.2. For which I am heartily grateful.
Indeed. I was very pleased, since back in August it was, I believe, over 9. Before that it was hovering in the low 7s.
Toddson - congrats on the health numbers! Fantastic!
And I must NOT say @)$^&)!$&# again to my contract manager who continues to make one change at a time instead of seeing this @#()$*&@_#$ through so we could just be DONE with this issue. I have taken to BCC'ing the related project manager and he agrees this is CRAP but none of us can do a darned thing about it. W(*$^@#$_%$()&*#@*(^@R%#*($&@_#
