Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Speaking of travel, I need to travel for work to Philadelphia. Need hivemind help: Am I out of my mind for considering a flight home at 7:30 am if there's a 1:30 pm available?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Is it wrong of me to think you might enjoy a free morning out of town, rather than rushing home?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Early flights are less likely to get delays and cancellations, IME. But what day of week? Monday AMs can be a shitshow in their own way.

And yes Jesse, my main thought is maybe I'd rather just pack up and eat a breakfast and then head to the airport, rather than leaving at 5 am

Depends on how much of a morning person you are and if there is a time change involved?

Msbelle, I'm here for another couple hours, but if anything goes wrong with my flight I'll totally hit you up!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Detroit totally has a trippy light-show tunnel, complete with Tangerine Dream-esque music.

The Detroit light-show tunnel is much trippier than the O'Hare light-show tunnel.

Whaaaaat? I can't believe I didn't know this. Two or more people looked at an airport and said, what this thing needs is a light show.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Seriously, the Detroit trippy lightshow tunnel is ... okay, maybe not worth the trip in itself, but a major highlight.

Okay, having watched the video, I think the light portion of the tunnel is equal to O'Hare, but Detroit really pulls ahead on the music.
