Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

So sorry, Sparky.

I co-sign that note.

Because books.

Four hours! Good god, Sparky.

Co-signing the note here, too.

Poor shrift.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh jeez, shrift. Did you make it out? Can they get you a rental car instead?

Our wings are not tired.

Good morning from St. Thomas! I was up at 6:30 local time and went for a swim with the pool all to myself then had breakfast. Did a bunch of work, which was a real PIA because of slow internet, but it is done, and uploaded some pictures and stuff. Slept like a baby in the rolling seas.

The room steward told me it is rolliest up way forward where we are, which works for me! Also I am right where I can watch the Captain and crew on the bridge from my balcony. Captain is a woman, which is kinda cool beans. I watched them working while docking this morning. She was busy, but one of the crew on the bridge waved to me.

Nice! It's neat to have something interesting to watch while you chill on the balcony.

It is currently -3 degrees outside. Expected to rise to 10 by about about noon, so a few degrees an hour. I wonder how long I can put off the dog before she gets super pestery about it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds awesome, Laura.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

That sounds less awesome, brenda.

Because books.

Agreeing with both Jesse and Tom.

Franny is currently curled up in the big chair with her floppy bunny and a throw over her, snoring, and it's nowhere near that cold here (although it is cold, for sure). She's been sleeping later and later, in no hurry to go outside in the morning since it started getting chilly. Poor old lady.

Also that.

Sounds like me!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Booo travel delays.

Booo Sparky's bosses.
