Natter 75: More Than a Million Natters Served
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Remind me not to fly United if at all possible.
I have the feeling that I will be stuck in O'Hare's airport Hilton without my checked baggage or toiletries tonight. Why didn't I just assume this would happen and wear my glasses?
Is it weather in between you and Chicago? I mean, not that it matters.
Is there a way to get the yolks more centered inside the egg?
I know I've read tips that are supposed to help with that, but I haven't tested any to know if they work.
I checked off "trim" after cutting the branches off, which was not correct!
This delights me. I am just delighted.
That sounds pretty appalling, Debet. Have I told you about my worst theater-going experience? It was a production of Antigone in which the titular character spoke only French but the rest of the characters spoke English, the acting was wooden, and the space it was presented in was arranged so the action was between the audience and the door, so we couldn't leave. And at the intermission the cast all wanted to talk to us about what we thought of their labor of love. But at least it wasn't 3 hours long.
Sympathies on the delays, shrift. Best wishes for getting where you are going.
I made three meals and packed portions of them into my new lunch bag to take to work (we are supposedly getting lunch bought for us by Sales tomorrow as a thank you for getting those orders processed last week like the champions we are, but I don't want to be without food if that doesn't happen) and the rest into the fridge for dinners. Kinda running out of steam now, though. Maybe I will get a second wind if I rest a bit...
I am exhausted from this weekend, between running around for my mother and the nursing home holiday party I wasn't expecting to go to. Hilariously, all of the food at the party was either traditional Jewish or serious treyf. Maybe the pigs-in-a-blanket were beef franks, but other than that it was bagels and lox, latkes, blintzes, and shrimp, bacon-wrapped scallops, ham. Made me laugh, anyway.
But at least I'm not stuck on a delayed flight. On the upside, if the weather is at the connection point, your second flight is probably also delayed.
That always cracks me up, Jesse, even when it's me making the menu.
Worst theatre as an audience member was a USITT event where one of the plays in competition was Waiting for Gogot that everyone, except those of us in the Critique seminar left by the time the intermission started.
That's pretty funny Jesse!
Shrift that sucks a lot. I hope it gets better. I am worried I also will be stuck in O'Hara at some point--my flight to Indy is through Dallas but my flight back goes through ORD. I feel like somehow it always screws me over.
