If Casper's over 12, can't you leave her to her own devices? Give her a list of chores and boundaries of where she can and can't go when they're done? I guess there may be more laws and whatnot than when I was a kid, but that worked out all right for me.

Well, we have three weeks of camp settled, anyway, and another three on Jan 5th will need to happen. But a $400 discount is too good to pass up even if I don't want to be thinking about it now. I guess we also have our week at the beach with Sox settled, too, and a week of family vacation, so I'll have eight of eleven done.
What I really need to do is have my daughter get out of the house so I can wrap presents. Go away, kiddo!
We did some weeks of that last summer for Casper. It's just, 9 hours a day of your own devices turns into bingewatching CSI, apparently. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but a little structure and contact with other humans is nice too. Doing that for 11 weeks straight would be not that healthy.
That makes sense. Are there any summer school enrichment things available? Or library ones? Or a summer project Casper might get excited enough about to outweigh the lure of CSI?
Yeah, I remember my day camps at that age were pretty far afield, but interesting!
Oh god, camp. I think we're sending both kids to sleepaway camp for 2 weeks, and other than that I got NUTHIN'.
I love facials, but I'm sure it depends on the person doing them whether they're relaxing or just torture.
Timelies all!
We've got a few years before we have to worry about camp for Mr. S.
I've had one facial, and my skin didn't react well to it. Ah, well, not like there aren't other things I like at a day spa.
Hivemind question
Does anyone know where ano XSMALL hospital gown can be purchasedone.
Or if a kids large would be about the same size?
Wow - I finally caught up here.
Consuela - I'm sorry about your dad's experience with Haldol and that nurse. Some hospice nurses seem to be all about the "end of life" part of hospice and keeping the person as comfortable and manageable as possible instead of concentrating on the quality of the end of life.
We are in deep freeze more here with about 6" of snow on the ground. I'm driving out to the airport tomorrow and flying to SLC. Normally I part in the econo-lot but I'm planning on parking in the garage so I have a roof over my car.
I love facials. I am actually thinking of ending my massage membership and getting the occasional facial instead. I have not found a massage therapist who can do the hard deep tissue work I need. With PT, I have lots of stretching exercises and they work out the rough muscles for me.
I got eyelash extensions last week. The power went out mid-proces. I had one eye done. Apparently that strip of stores had lost wire power earlier in the week due to a fire in a junction box and so the power company has those stores running off generators while they get the power fixed. Anyway, the store manager had a bunch of headlamp lights - like headbands with LED lights. So she completed the other eye with that in the pitch dark and did an AWESOME job. She also does facials so I may give her a try. I mean, if she can rock my eyelashes with a headlamp.
I am on my way to the airport. I usually fret that I'm forgetting something, but I guess I'm out of fucks to give.
