Yay raise and bonus! Boo headache. Yay free treatment.
{{{Amy}}} Kittens,cupcakes, and a nap sounds excellent.
I filled out the form for a passport, and they wanted my parents' info and Hubby's info, even though I marked that I was a widow.
Really? Huh. I wonder if I had to give them that information at some point. It's not on the renewal form. And I'm widowed since my last renewal, but no name change, so, huh.
I suppose it might be all right for me to mail in my passport now that I have a temporary DL to augment my expired license, but I think I will wait until I have the real thing. Does it matter if I mail the renewal a few days after the expiration date? Flea, do you know?
I will join Amy with a cry. I start feeling sick around 4 because I do not want to go home from work most days.
Today Mac would not get ready in time for school so I left and he was to catch the bus 15 min later. He did not. I went home at 10:30 to check and he was in bed. I've already received a warning letter about truancy and I think with 1 - 2 more unexcused absences, I can be fined. Seriously. Either late for work or truant kid, those are my choices.
But I have to go home because we need to clean up glass from a broken window. It seems last month sometime when he was mad at me (I told him he would have to be more specific since that was every day), he threw a Lysol can in his room and broke the window. He did not tell me, he did not clean it up IN ANY WAY, and there is a basketball size hole.
Oh, msbelle. I'm so sorry. That's not okay, and he should know that.
Timelies all!
Mr. S has a fever. Last night he had a fever of 103.4, so we kept him home from daycare. Luckily the fever was much lower this morning, so we could get someone from the nanny service to stay with him.(They won't send someone out if the child has a fever of 103.) Of course, the fever's back. Gave him infant Tylenol, and we'll see how things go.
Health~ma for Mr. S.
Sigh, msbelle. I don't even know what to say to that. You have my sympathies.
What's y'all's opinion - wearing my Halloween sweater to the Ugly Sweater contest at my department XMas lunch, good idea or no?
Poor Mr S!
Either late for work or truant kid, those are my choices.
Oh ugh, msbelle. What a shitty situation. I know it's no help, but I know several people who fucked up their lives at that age and have turned out to be OK adults.

You're not Christian, right? I like it.
Sweet. It'll amuse me and at least one co-worker, anyway.
Oh, Mac. I'm sorry it's so hard, msbelle.
Amy, that is a crap day. May you have a better evening.
I wish I had a magic wand to make things just a little easier for all of us.
I'm seeing Allegiance tonight! No, not as exciting as Hamilton, and in a movie theatre, but still.
I made eye contact with Emilio Estevez today. They are going to be filming a movie about a homeless coalition that takes over a library to advocate for more services IN MY LIBRARY. On the third floor. Apparently in January every night while we're closed? He was talking about where they will put a Reference Desk and camera angles to get all the book stacks. So weird. I am a little worried about the political implications of the movie, since (like any urban library) we serve a large homeless population and are protective of them (while simultaneously frustrated with some of them.)
Anyway, so now on any given shift instead of playing "homeless or hipster" I can play "homeless hipster or Hollywood."
