Feel better, Buffista peeps. CJ is home sick for the second day in a row - he NEVER gets sick but he had a cold last week and how he has some kind of GI ick.
So, I have already been out to the liquor store, the grocery store, and the pet store. I have Stout for a cake I'm making, chicken broth for the boy, and more food and "snacks" for Miss Kitty.
I'm working part time today, baking a beer cake, prepping to bake soft ginger cookies, and I have a PT appt in the afternoon. Lots to do, so little time.
ETA - didn't need to say that twice.
Msbelle - best of luck with your washer. I try to do my own repairs and I think I have about a 70/30 success rate. You can DO eeeet.
Kate! You are sick! Try to let go of feeling guilty.
Good luck with that, msbelle.
I HAVE A LEAK IN ONE OF THE DRAIN HOSES! IT IS NOT THE PUMP!! I CAN FIX THIS! I AM SUPER HANDY! HAHAHA
Kate! Get better soon. And even if just the baby was sick that's reason enough.
Wow msbelle, you are impressive!
I have given up on the kitten escapees and am letting them run rampant for the moment. A lot of "chirrup?" And then thundering paws running past and up and down the stairs.
Yay msbelle! Being able to fix things is a great feeling.
I was home with a headache, nausea, sensitivity to light--possibly a minor migraine--for most of yesterday. Spending the afternoon snoozing on the sofa with no noise and little light did wonders for me, though. I took a long walk on a sunny, cold day at lunch. Now I'm plowing through some work stuff.
I hope all the sick people get better soon or, at least, can sleep until the bug has moved on.
meara, the one thing about kittens playing noisily is that, eventually, they tire themselves out and collapse.
I love all of you. That is all.
Go-go-gadget msbelle!!!
Kitten escapades sounds both fabulously fun and exhausting.
Every now and then both Jack and Kitty will be downstairs with me, leaving only Noodle upstairs. And the noises and thumps she makes!! I have no clue what she is doing. If I'm upstairs with Jack, she lives under my bed. When she wanders out, she tries to be slow motion cat so as not to attract Jack's attention.
