Lydia: Its removal from Burma is a felony and when triggered it has the power to melt human eyeballs. Giles: In that case I've severely underpriced it.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Things I'd never thought I'd say, part wev: "Don't hit the cat with your phone!" (it's a toy phone, but Mr. S hasn't figured out gentle touch yet.)

information libertarian

Cornichons are the best. Our French hamburgers from the French hamburger place we ate at on Saturday came with them.

Here's a cute baby-fan story: Casper has gotten really into BTS, a Kpop boyband that has probably the biggest international following among teens. None of Casper's friends are interested in Kpop and they think it's weird. But today, in the hall at school, Casper saw a locker that was decorated with pictures of V and Jungkook (her two favorites!) from BTS! It's A Thing at her school that your friends decorate your locker on your birthday. So now she just needs to find and get introduced to this girl named Sarah who turned 14 today, and she'll have Kpop friends! (I asked if I could post this on Facebook and she was like, no that is too weird. But nothing is too weird for the Buffistas, who understand fandom.)

Aww! Heart.

I posted on FB but if any of y'all want a holiday card from me, email me or text me or FB me or whatever? I still feel a little weird that I ordered actual cards like a family would, but just of me and my adventures. But...

Punishingly Intricate

I always think of gherkins as being sweet style pickles and of cornichons as being delicious! meara, one of my single friends has always done cards with her and her cat. This year her new dog is in the picture and I can't wait to get her card! Once again I'm sad this year that I haven't gotten it together to send cards. I love getting them!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw. Casper.

That's not weird, meara, that's excellent! Or if it is weird it's the good kind.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm still hoping to send out cards. I figure I've got a week.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Man, good news/bad news:

Really bad news: the son of another friend of my mother's just died also. My poor mom is kind of a mess today, as you might imagine.

Good news: I made it to the next round in this interview process!

Bad news: it's writing a thing that's due Thursday at 6pm, and I have choir tonight and office party on Wednesday.

Good news: it's not a huge project

Better news: Saw Brenda! Good times.

Yay good news! Boo bad news. :(

Anyone have any good methods for stopping an incipient crush? I can feel myself going there but I rationally know that even if this person was interested in me it would be a terrible plan--we make good friends and I don't want to ruin that, but I also think we would not make a good couple!!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Can you envision the aftermath if it happened and then went bad?
