Sara, have they given you anti-B's. alongside the painkiller.
Coincidentally, my dad is having a scope today, and the hope it that will flush the gall stone stuck in his bile duct (must be much smaller than sara's) and he should be going home from the hospital tomorrow. The dr. told him that since he made it to 88 without any previous gall bladder problems, it probably won't act up on him again.
In other medical news, it's OK to cancel a first date with someone I'm not that interested in because I have to go pick up meds for my cat, right?
with someone I'm not that interested in
I think you can just stop right there.
I mean, I don't even know him, so of course I'm not that interested! He might be great.
Dad~ma for Sue.
Totally, Jesse. You could reschedule if you want. That seems like a valid reason to change plans, although you may want to leave the specifics unspecified...
I'm pulling the trigger on the convection oven AND a deep fryer because if I miss this opportunity and it never comes again (who knows if we will keep this license or if they will extend the courtesy of employee discounts if we do or if I will even have this job in the future?) it would haunt me. So. I'll save by making all my food from scratch...
I specified the specifics! Because it is what it is, you know? I'm all about showing people who I am.
And you are clearly making the right call re: purchases. They are a lifetime investment!
It's sort of a ridiculous excuse if you actually TELL him that. But otherwise you do you.
I specified the specifics! Because it is what it is, you know? I'm all about showing people who I am.
You know what? That's absolutely right. Well done.
I specified the specifics!
And if he goes "Oh, I totally understand, I hope the kitty is OK," you know he's worth keeping in mind for the future.
TBH if someone said "I can't I have to get my cat medicine" I'd probably assume she was blowing me off unless she was also apologizing profusely and offering a different date...
