Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Out to our usual diner for breakfast. Then grocery shopping and home to study for my ELA (English Language Arts) test on Thursday. I also signed up for the Social Studies test the week after. Hopefully that makes me more employable. Tomorrow, I grade papers study, clean house and do laundry. Not exciting but productive. Last night we watched "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane," which I'd never seen all of. LOVED IT. We've made a plan to watch all good movies either of us have missed.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, I'm afraid I have bed bugs. At least, I have woken up with some kind of bites two days in a row. But I don't see anything in my bed! And I have too much to do today to deal with it. Uggghhhhhh.

Jesse, it's also flea season. Does Hazel sleep in the bed?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Calli I was at that game, in the front row with friends?

Cool! One of my friends is a huge Courage fan. Goes to all their home games and such. I'm not as into it, but an evening of savory snacks with friends, watching women be impressively athletic, was fun. The Portland team's logo is nifty. My friend suggested it would make a good tattoo.

I'm afraid I have bed bugs. At least, I have woken up with some kind of bites two days in a row.

Yikes! I hope it's something easier to deal with.

It's Buddy (now), and he does, but he doesn't go outside -- could he get fleas??

For now I am going to believe that a mosquito got in the house.

Our wings are not tired.

Sorry about the bites. I am a very tasty morsel who will get bitten repeatedly if any mosquito finds a way into the house.

My SIL is back in the hospital with an obstruction now. Talking surgery but I am hoping not. So far they have been abusing her in various ways.

Went to the movies last night with my sister and niece. Saw Life Itself which when I read reviews this morning is apparently an awful one star emotionally manipulative crap movie. We didn't leave feeling that way. Great actors and we felt we got our money's worth of emotional manipulation. So there!

Sorry Buddy!

You can bring them in and they can get on him. But it seems unlikely. My cats have always gone out a little.

It could be mosquito bites. For me, they never really appear as red, itchy bumps right away. It's usually either when I'm going to bed or the next morning that I realize I've been eaten alive.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Sorry about the bites, Jesse. Ryan is sporting a bite too; a spider bite, I think, because this is Australia.

Speaking of Ryan, yesterday I took him to Healesville Sanctuary (a zoo for Australian wildlife). We took along some maths homework. We got a seat in the cafe by the window and went over decimal multiplication while watching two echidnas trundle past on a regular circuit. Educational win! (Echidna Institute - for when you really need to get your point across.)

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Jesse, we also have teeny tiny jillifonts that love to snack on me (and Alexandra, unfortunately). Big red bumps, but they're not in a line (which is the tipoff for bedbugs, I think).

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

If it looks like two little bites right next to each other, that's probably fleas.
