Saffron: You won't tell anyone about me breaking down? Mal: I won't. Saffron: Then I won't tell anyone how easily I got your gun out of your holster. Mal: I'll take that as a kindness.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I'm not a fan of onions or fish or raisins, so there's no way I'll try it, but I guess if that's your deal, have at it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

OK for other people, I mean. I do not want one.

Our wings are not tired.

Cleaning out random food so lunch was a ricotta chocolate mousse concoction (tasty), and then my sister took me to the local pub for dinner to go over dog sitting chores and I had fried cauliflower with a tasty spicy sauce.

Looking over the older threads I am reminded of the volume of posts. Wow, well at least I can keep up now.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Dinner was risotto with artichoke hearts (so good) and chicken. I kind of want to keep eating the risotto just because it tasted so good, but then I would be over-full, and that's a terrible feeling.

Mmm, risotto.

So, walked in the door, thought I would grab my phone, hang up my purse, and relax for a bit. Poke through the various pockets of my purse. Hm. Sure it's yhere. Pole through some more. Switch phone to my other hand so I can poke through my purse more effectively...

Thrive to spite them

Today was weird at work. Someone made comments about Nike and I didn't keep my mouth shut as well as I should. We also had people who were in town because they were escaping the hurricane's path.

I remember all the people who delurked on WX on 9/11 and how comforting it was in all the scariness.

We have also had 2 customers complain about lack of winter clothes/jackets. We don't have a very limited selection of rain boots and jackets so I get that complaint but someone was seriously upset we didn't have more sweaters.

It was about 80 today.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Always room in the cranky corner, Cindy. And whoever else, feel welcome.

Remember planning the DC F2F, when I said I'd probably be out in the stairwell while the festivities were going on? And then somebody else said they'd be in the stairwell too, and so on, and so on. I think it was 50/50 stairwell/hospitality suite there at one point. (spoiler) it was fine. No stairwells were inhabited at DC F2F.

ETA: Vortex, Ginger, Deb and I did scare a middleaged white guy in a Mr. Businessman suit in the elevator though. Good times.
