Here's hoping the shooting is overblown and wasn't many people/many shooters?
It sounds like 9 people were shot (or otherwise hurt; one report says that someone pulled a fire alarm and then when people were outside, the shooter drove into the crowd, then got out and had a gun and a machete), 1 shooter is dead, and maybe that LEOs have captured 2 other suspects alive.
What the shit, man.
FYI from On the Media: there's almost never another shooter.

The news right now even corrected themselves, because they started to refer to the 2 suspects who were captured as "shooters," and then they said, "No, we don't know that they're shooters, but they are suspects."
The shelter in place has been lifted, so it sounds like LEOs are confident that the danger is over.
Yeah, everyone is pretty impressed/horrified.
Oh, wow, sarameg. Good luck with that.
And how awful is it that my first response to the OSU shooting news is "not another one".
Right? I hardly know how to react any more. It's terrible, but there are so many and I'm just so weary.
Yeah, Chatty!former!co-worker's son goes there,
Awww, Chatty Co-Worker sighting!
Yikes, OSU.
Yikes, Sara!! It seems good that they figured out the problem ASAP, though -- I remember my mother trying for months to figure out what was wrong when it turned out to be her gallbladder.
And another yikes to msbelle -- whatcha doing at Immigration?
Gallbladders are the worst! Again, let me know if we can do anything for you, sarameg!
I honestly don't mean this to be flip, but à la John Oliver, how are school shootings still a thing?
Surgery~ma, sarameg. You gallstone overachiever.
Immigration~ma, msbelle.
shrift, you should totally work from home tomorrow. Tell them I said so.
I didn't get to bed until 2am and I had a 9am meeting, so I elected to spare my coworkers from my sneezing and nose-blowing. Downside is that I need to go to the grocery store because I've been gone for a week and have no food.
