Back a ways, speaking of writing Eldritch runes on pills, reminds me of Agador Spartacus in the Birdcage, encouraging Nathan Lane to take his "Pirin pills".
"What are you giving him!"
"It's an aspirin with the A and the S scraped off."
And Cindy--
Dude, if eldritch runes appear on any of my pain killers, expired or no, I am taking that as a sign that I absolutely should take them.
Ditto, for any medication or comestible, really.

Timelies all!
Still hucking fot here. Bleah.
I was on tramadol for a while - got up to the maximum dose, then they cut me off. I considered going out on the street to get something but decided that was a bad idea. I have a few - five, I think - I've hung on to for an emergency.
Menopause - I hit it at 45. I'm now 66 and still get some hot flashes. My office is so cold that, even with the occasional hot flash I end up wearing a sweater much of the time.
As they say, old age ain't no place for sissies.
In regard to Burt Reynolds - does anyone else remember the TV show "Evening Shade" - I enjoyed it no end. It starred Reynolds as a small town football coach; his wife, played by Marilu Henner, was the town mayor; her father, played by Hal Holbrook, was the editor of the local paper; her aunt was played by ... Elizabeth Ashley, I think. A good supporting cast and some really nice shows.
I loved Evening Shade, Toddson.

Beverly, was it white and square?
I didn't see! I was never there! ::looks shifty::
I'm still thinking about scraping the A and the S off an aspirin tablet.
Oh, Toddson, yes! And Ossie Davis! And Michael Jeter as the assistant coach, I think? Where I fell in love with Jeter, actually. I loved spotting him in things like The Fisher King and Sister Act II.
Anybody here old enough to remember Reynolds' blacksmith character on Gunsmoke? That man had a long and varied career. RIP.
Burt's biggest failing was probably picking Jennifer Marlowe over Bailey Quarters.
"As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."

I think of that so often! "It was white and square, and looked like a tooth, but it wasn't a tooth... so I ate it!"
