Good luck msbelle!

Sparky that sounds great! I hope all the final bits and pieces get cleared up soon. And up too early is a way better jet lag than up too late!

My dance weekend is sadly over, but now to the "hanging out with friends" portion. Not excited about the "back to work" part tomorrow but I already have enough emails in my inbox that I don't want to ignore any longer while that number keeps growing!

I hope the phone bank goes well, msbelle!

I have emails in my inbox from the Interim Dean that I am sort of ignoring. I know from the subject lines she is 1) asking me to serve on a committee, and 2) confused as to why/how to approve some expenses on my credit card. Tomorrow is soon enough.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It's supposed to be 90 degrees by this afternoon, so I got off my butt and pulled 2+ weeks of accumulated weeds out of the front yard garden. One of my New Jersey tea plants is doing beautifully and has lovely flowers all over it, another is doing fine but no flowers, and the third is totally dead. Ditto my two lavendar plants - one is thriving and budding and smells heavenly, and the other one planted 4 inches away is a dried out scrawny stump. WTH, front yard soil.

(Also pulled out a shit-ton of horse nettle and am breaking out in little red welts from the spines. Fucking weeds.)

Our wings are not tired.

It is supposed to be warm here today so I got out early and poop scooped. Also walked next door and said I would take the elliptical machine in the front yard.

Poor DH. His homecoming has been fraught. He has made progress on the forest green pool and 4' tall weeds in the backyard, but Tropical Storm Gordon will stop progress on that today. Freak accident Saturday has left him with no water for 2 days. He was pulling the boat out from the side of the house to be able to weed eat the area. His truck ran over a coconut that happened to be lying on top of the water meter cover, which cracked, and then broke the pipe below. Fortunately on our side so he didn't take out the whole block. So he is out in the deluging rain trying to fix the pipe. He got a new fitting on last night but wanted to do the pipe repair in daylight.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm so glad nursery school starts up again tomorrow. This weekend has been rough.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I definitely should have done some yard work earlier in the day/weekend, but now it's hot in the sun and I'm in the hammock in the shade.

Hammock in the shade sounds like a perfect way to spend the holiday.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

phone bank over, approx 100 calls made. maybe 8-10 supporters noted.

Now to clean up and head home. I'll host again next Sunday and then I think I'll be back to block walking on weekends.

How many people showed up?

2, but they had both called before so I did not have to train and so I called the whole time also. We also took breaks and chatted since it was not a tone of people.
