Cordelia: I get it now. You're all spies. Probably all Russian. And you've brainwashed me, and want me to believe we're friends so I'll spill the beans about some nano-technology thingy that you want. Gunn: So I look Russian to you? Cordelia: Black Russian. Angel: That's a drink.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's good, Laura.

That's it for the Supply Chain Management class. Now to squeeze in some actual work before the New Product Training Session...

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

egg&avocado:

Is always the best! (I know you were using it in place of "cereal," but I am always here to rep for egg and avocado, in any combination. Egg salad with avocado, deviled eggs with avocado, scrambled eggs/omelettes with avocado, etc.)

Our wings are not tired.

Teppy, I credit you for trying that combination of perfection. It was your endorsement that prompted me to try it in the first place. Today's was egg salad with avocado, green olives, with a bunch of horseradish and ground black pepper in there for spice.

Coding and Sleeping

Still slowly working on the new board. Adding voting right now. I haven't had much time with my wife moving offices.

Also, I see that Trump is canceling raises for federal employees citing that it would be inappropriate with the current deficit. What a dick move.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Now I want avocado. Well, we are going out to dinner tonight. Maybe there will be an item with avocados I'll like....

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Happy birthday, meara!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

So, y'all remember the Iceland vacation last year where I came home with a broken leg? Literally, as in, it was not set until a week after I got home?

Yesterday I went back to see the surgeon because the ankle has not been healing as quickly or as well as I want. Well, it's not getting better because it's gotten worse. There's no cartilage left in the ankle at all, and the fibula broke again. Probably within a few weeks of it being set, because it broke along the same diagonal line. Just broke in half and slipped off the pins in the metal plate. I don't know how or when; I didn't even feel it!

So next month I go back for *another* surgery to set this bone *again*. Please send Buffista ~ma for the bone to heal properly this time.

As for the "completely arthritic" ankle, there's nothing to be done about that. I won't have it fused, and I don't want to do a joint replacement, not yet anyway. Surgeon agreed with my decision, and said if it were his ankle, he'd take it easy and just see how many years he could get before it got too painful to live with. So there's no more "working on increasing flexibility and strength" in that ankle. Now I'm just working on keeping it from getting worse. Which eventually it will anyway.

Surgeon said he didn't see how I was even walking around. Apparently I should be in excruciating pain or something.

I put a photo of the X-ray on Facebook, if you're into that.

tl;dr: I've been walking around on a broken leg for months, and my left ankle is fubar, and I seem to have a fairly high pain threshold.

Oh, Zen! You knew it wasn't right. It's good you didn't go any longer. Sorry you have to do surgery again. Ugh.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That sucks, Zen. I'm sorry about the arthritic ankle, but I hope the surgery can finally fix the other one.
