Angel: I appreciate you guys looking out for Connor all summer. It's just—he's confused. He needs time. That's all. Fred: Right. Time, and some corporal punishment with a large heavy mallet. Not that I'm bitter.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Ugh, Dana. Your meetings always sound torturous.

I'm attempting an edx course again. Let's see if with ltc in school for more time this year if I actually have enough energy and quiet time to finish it.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Didn't Australia once have a prime minister get eaten by a shark? I vaguely remember hearing that years ago ... or he went in swimming and didn't come out?

Man, impeachment is rough in Australia.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I love this thing now where you call doctor's offices and almost never get a person. You just get voicemail. And then you leave a message. Which they may or may not return.

Oh, right, I have to do that. Call a doctor's office and probably get a voicemail, I mean.

Boss brought in Krispy Kreme this morning. Some sort of lemon cream is apparently a limited time flavor - it's pretty good. I have always made it a practice to only eat Krispy Kreme when it's hot, and these were not, but still pretty good.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Oddly, emailing my doctor's office gets a pretty quick response (sometimes within an hour or 2), because my doctor stays on top of his email. This means I completely bypass the awful front-desk staff, which is a big win.

ION, I had a filling replaced this morning, which is fine, but I'm starving and waiting for my mouth to not be numb so I can eat some dang lunch. t stomach rumble

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Our PCP is good with the electronic system. My neurologist, who's in the same giant healthcare conglomerate, does not use the system. So the call that I made Thursday or Friday to leave a voicemail asking them to get a prior authorization for my migraine drug apparently went into the wind, as today I called back, left a voicemail, got a call directing me to someone else, left a voicemail, and got a call back saying that she could start on that, and how much medication did I have left.

Well, about four days less than when I left the first voicemail.
