NYT:
Michael D. Cohen, President Trump's former fixer, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to campaign finance and other charges. He made the extraordinary admission that he paid a pornographic actress "at the direction of the candidate," referring to Mr. Trump, to secure her silence about an affair she said she had with Mr. Trump.
Mr. Cohen told a judge in United States District Court in Manhattan that the payment was "for the principal purpose of influencing the election" for president in 2016.
That seems good, right? I mean, bad for Trump, therefore good?
I think the spin will be that nothing in either of these cases has implicated collusion with Russia and therefore doesn't matter.
I mean, it's not great spin, but that would be my guess.
That's like 6-8 or so of the inner circle found guilty already. I'm calling it a win.
I do think it becomes more difficult for him to fire or revoke clearances on Mueller or others with the latest convictions. It really feels like it is finally unraveling.
Tapping my toe waiting for the Jared or Don Jr. indictments.
Wine and schadenfreude for dinner!
Shit, y'all, Omarosa's dropping a video on Hardball tonight.
Oooh, good plan, Zenkitty! I may join you in that.
This isn't even a Friday! Fun times. Also, MSNBC has been commercial free for hours.
I've been switching over to entertainment early every night, but tonight the news is more entertaining than usual.
I haven't actually looked at the news, just what y'all say here and whatever my flist posts on FB but I am kind of giddy.
