Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, thank goodness -- I got her to come around to my side! Phew.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I just have to get 20 more rides today and tomorrow to qualify for a $100 bonus. That seems like a lot, but it is definitely doable.

I kinda don't want too many long rides because that's a lot more time driving. Sigh.

Good luck, Theo!

So getting the sofa out of the apartment is a disaster. They put holes in the wall of the front staircase, and are now trying to throw it off the back porch. It is a mystery how it got into the house.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Time travel.

Good luck, Theo! I wish you many short drives.

hip deep in pie

Eeeek, Jesse! I've had a 100-lb CRT TV on the floor of my living room for at least 2 years now because a) it's 100lbs and b) I can't just put in the garbage, it has to be taken to a place that recycles TV and computers, which will require a car, a friend to help lift it, and both those things available when the recycling depot is open.

Good luck Theo!

I'm requesting surgery-ma for my dad, who's having his gall bladder removed this afternoon. They tried to avoid surgery because of his age and health, but he's been in so much pain all week. His 94 year old sister passed away yesterday, so he's really having a terrible summer of loss and bad health. I really hope this goes smoothly, and he recovers well and quickly.

We're lucky that we can put electronics out on trash day with a $25 sticker, but how to get the sticker, and how to lift the thing?? At any rate, everything is gone now! Phew. Worth every penny (that my mother spent).

Best thoughts to your dad, Sue.

And now the new furniture is here! The other people got out in the nick of time.

Oh, man, Sue. ~ma for your dad.

That sounds madcap and exciting, Jesse. I'm picturing it in jerky black and white, of course.

It is a mystery how it got into the house.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Someone just asked me if my 3-year-old daughter was my grandson.
