Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Sounds like a nice change, Bev.

Congrats on the bonus, sara.

It seems to be the season for parents to be Really Concerned because Something might Happen.

Yay bonus, sarameg! Well-deserved.

Consuela, I'm researching lighthouses for a thing or two and was thinking of you.

Hah! Let me know if you have any questions I can answer. Also, one of the best resources out there is Lighthousefriends.com. I use them when I need to check some information, although I do occasionally catch errors.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I've been watching Queen Sugar -- and recommend it! -- and the last episode was directed by Salli Richardson-Whitfield, and I knew her, but couldn't remember from where, until Google reminded me she was Alison on Eureka! Good one. (Her husband Dondre Whitfield is on the show. And is super dreamy, it turns out -- he has come a long way since the Cosby Show!)

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger
