Oh dear, good the surgeon was careful, but sorry to hear she has a more complex procedure in her (hopefully near) future. I have to say they have really gotten very good at the heart parts replacement procedures.

Random Otter Lake report: My well here in the mountains is 94 feet deep and delivers very chilly deep stream delicious water directly to my glass from the tap. This is a real contrast to the lukewarm city stuff I get in Florida where I have 2 water coolers to get boring filtered stuff. Although I delight in the yummy water, it also delivers a crisper taste to brewed tea which is lovely.
I grew up on well/spring water back in Pennsylvania. So damned good. Infuriatingly, subsidence due to fracking and coal mining has killed the spring.
Looks like I get to leave tonight.
Have you at least been able to relax in the hospital, Gud?
In other news, I was just in a meeting with a bunch of people in the room, and all the high muckety-mucks on the phone, and I felt so bad for the one guy (in the room) who has a stutter, because every time he was trying to say something, it took a while, and half the people on the phone were like, "What? Are you cutting out??"
Some. Not exactly ideal conditions, but I lack to setup to do work from my room so I've done a lot more watching Netflix, listening to Audiobooks and Podcasts than I normally would ever do. Also done some writing. Having people come in every so often to stick me with needles and the occasional excruciating pain is a bit sub-optimal. Window is pretty nice though as it overlooks a fountain and little park.
Glad you're OK dcp, even if the car isn't!
Unfortunately hospitals are never restful, but I hope at least it's non-stressful being taken care of instead of the opposite, Gud.
Re:The next time I'm on antibiotics I'm going to start taking Florstar proactively, because C. dif. is no joke.
Definitely not. It made my dad's last month far more unpleasant and painful than it would have been otherwise (moving him constantly for cleanup caused a lot of pain on his paralyzed side).
If nothing else, Gud, your absence from home may help remind some people of just how much you do there.
