My second car was a Dodge Omni. I thought overall it ran well for having been rear-ended several times (once by a van that hit me hard enough it warped the frame and one of the back doors became almost impossible to close). But the AC broke down one component at a time, and ended up costing me about twice as much as just replacing the whole thing in one go would have.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
My first car was a Pontiac T-1000 (which was essentially a Chevette, except, you know, a Pontiac) and it was probably a '76 or '77. I started driving it in 1985, and drove it till Jake was 2, and one of the seat mechanisms exploded and the engine just gave up. I loved that car.
My first car I bought for myself at 21. It was a 64 Chevy and I paid $75 for it. I overpaid. It drank as much oil as gas. When I moved from Norfolk to Richmond I left it in a parking garage because it never would have made it that far. And the car was stolen from me TWICE. Apparently it was the easiest car to start without a key ever made. Ah, good times.
Well, crap. I had a dr appt an hour ago that I totally forgot about. Not only do I have to reschedule, I could have slept longer!
Y'all, I am training a new person, and have got to start giving her more to do, but all of the current projects are like 60% of the way through something ridiculously complicated, and that doesn't seem fair! So I'm copying her on things and trying to explain it all to her, but I've basically given her 1 hour of stuff to do in the last week (plus 2.5 days of orientation...).
Eeeep! My Tesla came in! At first they said August - December. Then August to October. Now they just called and said it was delivered on the 21st! Of course I am in NY and the kids are honeymooning on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. They get back to FL on Saturday so I told the person who called me I could take delivery then. Since the kids work at the location where it is delivered they can accept it. Eeeep! I didn't plan to go back to Florida for months. Eeeep!
Oh, wow, Laura!
I feel like that happens a lot, Jesse. Training a new person always seems to mean either too much or too little for them to do - or both.
Yay, Tesla! Can't wait to hear all about it, Laura!
My first car was a '73 Pinto hatchback. I didn't love it at first, but I had to defend it so much, and it turned out to be such a really reliable little car, I learned to love it. Who knows how long it would have lasted if it hadn't gotten totaled (not by me, I wasn't even in it at the time).
So cool, Laura!!

It's true! This is part of why I had her to go to the two days of training last week instead of in November.
I'd try to explain just one of the complex projects. Anyone else on your team she can shadow to get the details on it, or just you?
