I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yeah, I think I should probably, like, group people or something but I haven't bothered. The thing that may get me to do it is I think I have friended some of my neighbors and I don't really want them to know when I'm out of town, necessarily (not because they will break in or anything, I don't know why, just, privacy?) ETA ok, kinda worried that friends of friends might actually be criminals. I don't know who their friends are

Our wings are not tired.

I have a 'non-political' group I exclude when I post certain stuff.

Still in Florida. Sigh.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I dragged myself to the gym and someone is on the one machine I know how to use. I'm going to sit here listening to a book and stare daggers at him.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Husband is listening to a webinar, and the guy sounds like Wallace Shawn from The Princess Bride. I may have mentioned him before. I have no idea how anyone manages to take him seriously.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Oh god, they came back to the house in between excursions. "For lunch," they said. And she's been talking nonstop since she walked through the door.

Kill me now.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I have two relatives who never shut up. It's a trial to be with them, even though I love them.

I'm sitting in the lounge at the mechanic's. The driver's side window of my Hyundai broke, exactly the same way the passenger side window broke a couple years ago. The winding mechanism slipped and crushed the glass. It also has a sensor light that has been on for four years, with nothing actually wrong with the car, and I had to replace the gear shift because it developed a sharp edge somehow. I'm starting to really regret not buying another Chevy. The only reason I'm not trading this one in before something worse goes wrong is that it's paid off.

Coding and Sleeping

Ugh, Zenkitty. Car troubles are always a pain. Wish I was close enough to run codes on that light and see if I could fix it.

My car hit 240,000 miles today which means it's time to change the oil, which I don't want to do since it's so fucking hot outside all the time.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The mechanic said there's nothing wrong, but to turn off the light would require dismantling the dashboard, which would be more expensive than it's worth.

It doesn't even have 40,000 miles on it yet. Maybe I'm being too harsh, but it seems like things shouldn't have started to break already. I got 240,000 miles on one of my Chevrolets without anything ever going wrong. Except for a busted transmission pan, but that wasn't the car's fault.

Okay, they left for part 2 of their excursion, and we are at the beach. Where it's peaceful, with sporadic conversation. Which is fine.

brillig

If I should come into another cash windfall, I'm going to do an excursion to a northern beach where I can hear waves on rocks and be relatively cool (as compared to the desert). Basking in the sun is not a vacation goal of mine. Though a broad, shady porch with a comfy chair in earshot of the waves sounds blissful.
